Good and Wicked

Dear Friends:

This is my last blog of 2015, and again, I am so grateful to all who follow my blog and artistic endeavors. I wish you and yours a very Happy New Year!

I’m in the process of setting new goals. Although, last year was incredibly fulfilling, I still have so much I want to achieve. I sincerely hope you continue to follow and share my blog. The things I’m working on now will certainly eclipse what I’ve done before. Be ready, and I say that with a smile. Because some really good art is coming. And I’ll try not to get distracted….

But today, I didn’t have the best of days, attributed to some after holiday frustration, a little less sleep, perhaps. When I got home, I was cranky, but I worked out a little, I got inspired. And I reminded myself how awesome it was to finally see the musical Wicked live! After scrolling through FB, I found the perfect meme:

Yeah, I got my Elphaba rolling. Now I know Wicked isn’t steampunk, although the stage design is built around a clock and wonderful gears. But this musical about friendship, uniqueness, and “defying gravity” has really spurred me on when I was struggling after making some major life decisions.

I got the opportunity to see it at the Fox Theatre here in St. Louis, a majestic rehabbed classic movie/theater. Yep, I cried a few times. It was just that magical. So enjoy a few pics from the theatre:

Even the ladies lounge was decorated for the holidays. The Christmas tree dress was stunning!

It was great to escape for a while. Although Christmas was pretty lovely, with mild temps. So nice, that I took a good stroll around outside. Enjoy the pics:

The Arch was stunning in the sunset.

So my 2015 closes with bad weather outside, but my heart aglow. Peace to you and yours.
