I’ve got such a backlog of really nifty events. So I’ll be posting a lot of things out of order BUT it will be all kinds of fun photos and stuff. Very little promo!
Speaking of promo, thanks for your support! “The Body Farm” and “A Dream of Emerald Skies” both did well.
I appreciate the reads and reviews! The Body Farm is in Amazon’s 2019 Pen to Publish competition, so any reads and reviews are appreciated.
So, other than Garden Glow and routine tours of the Museum, my special holiday tours of the season are over.
I promised a little more of costume #2 for Halloween which was a modified Victorian gown. It was a black costume Victorian dress. I took off the faux vest front, aproned the front, bustled the back, pleated the trim, added to the cuffs, and expanded the sleeves. I also altered a hat and a sleeveless shirt into a capelet. I had a ton of fun, especially standing in the kitchen and casually surprising guests in the kitchen. Details and then the resulting costume:
Then after Halloween, we went straight into the Christmas tours at Campbell House and Glow at the Botanical Gardens:

I also did another shoot in the Museum, however, I wasn’t the photographer AND the results are going to be a massive surprise for mid-January! So keep watching!
Many changes and good things are happening. Event dates for 2020 are coming as well.Thank you for your support!
And as always, thank you for reading,
-BOOKS, all my books are on Amazon, but I am slowly going wide on Kobo, iBooks, Barnes and Noble online, Google Books, and others. Locally, some of my titles are at Dunaway Books.
I’m lucky to work for two great historical institutions. At the Campbell House Museum last weekend, we were part of a region wide house tour. We had two lovely ladies join us from the St. Louis Georgian Sewing Society:
And MoBot has Garden Glow going on:
And the Butterfly House has Winter Jewels with fairy gardens in the Observatory:
First, many thanks for your continued support! “A Dream of Emerald Skies” continues to grow on Amazon with good reviews, rankings, and reads! See ranks below!
And FINALLY, Will the vampire has returned in The Body Farm, v. 12 of the Vampire’s Little Black Book Series! Ebook copies will be FREE this weekend on Amazon. Again, I had some issues and delays, so my humble apologies! BUT this is not just a short story, it is a good sized novella of almost 100 pages and the first individual story of Will’s to be in paperback. It is in Amazon’s 2019 Pen to Publish contest, so any reads and reviews would be appreciated!
Again, so much going on that I’m am playing catch up with posts! Last Friday I attended the Time Travelers Ball that benefitted the Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC. This not for profit revitalizes neighborhoods in the St. Louis in a myriad of ways. The Ball is their annual major fundraiser to support their cause.
One of my best friends, designer Michele Berhorst helps with the events branding and promotion each year. So with VIP tickets in hand we enjoyed a spectacular evening with people dressed up from all eras, but of course I was thrilled to see a lot of steampunks! We of course did our own steampunk gunslinger and airship pilot. Below is a montage of steampunk dressed guests that came for the event:
More details coming to Steampunk Journal! And yes, more new articles as well with their new format!
Cyber Monday and the following week was just insanely busy. I want to thank everyone who took the time to download, read, and review “A Dream of Emerald Skies”! It almost went top 10 in Steampunk on Amazon!!! It has 4 good reviews and has been in the top thousand in two steampunk categories/ranks for a couple weeks now.

A BIG thanks to all who came out to the Heavy Anchor for Small Biz Saturday as well! The pop up shop was fun and amazing. A lot of small and local businesses did well that evening and we appreciated your support!
A few words on Giving Tuesday:
Every year I donate 1-2 big portraits to Stray Rescue and this year I donated a pet portrait certificate to Penned Con’s purpose Action for Autism.
I moved this year so I was able to donate a ton of books, clothing and household items I didn’t need. I am grateful for the things I have and feel blessed to share my art. I may not have extra $$ to give at this time, but I am happy to see how far my work goes in helping those in need including the four footed kind! Thank you to all who gave what you could. So many worthy organizations need help.
Yes, more big stuff is coming. I’m sitting on some really cool news, but soon I’ll be able to tell every about a great feature I’m in. 😉
