First, many thanks to all who have supported me and all of my art. Many people downloaded my Amazon/kindle books over the Thanksgiving Holidays and I can’t wait to see the reviews!
Unfortunately, I have been sick for most of November. I continue to make changes for a healthier lifestyle including my small businesses, including Etsy.
Right now my Etsy store is closed.
Etsy was a God send at first. I decided to cut my own website to join. Sales were always kind of spotty, but I could always see how many views were in the store. At one point I was at over 19,000 views. I have 12 five star ratings and nothing less than five stars.
Changes come to every selling format, social media, etc. and this year was some doozies. One of which was akin to Facebook killing organic reach. They also hired a former CEO that ran EBay, starting ramming sales and free shipping down the sellers throats.
For true artisans and craft persons, these policies forces creators to undersell their work. I can’t afford to do that any longer.
IF YOU READ ONLY ONE PART OF THIS POST, READ THIS-I will be permanently closing my Etsy store by sometime in the early months of next year unless I sell out of items sooner.
Again the store is closed now, but I will reopen the store in a week or two and there will be A MASSIVE PERMANENT SALE on xmas items. Other items will be drastically reduced.
My most one of a kind items will be slightly marked down, however, they will move to my new online store, which will be either independently owned or on amazon. I have a small test group of items on the DePop app.
I have been satisfied for the most part as an amazon/kindle author. It makes sense to have all my items under one umbrella. To see my books, the link is here:
If you have Kindle Unlimited, certain pieces of mine are ALWAYS FREE. My two new latest pieces on Amazon/kindle:
“I Died Here”, The Vampire’s Little Black Book Series, V.11:
“The Kicho”, The Dolls of Society Series, v.1
Both are in amazon’s “Pen to Publish 2018” competition, so I am especially grateful for your support!
Again, this was not an easy decision to make, but as the market changes, so must I.
I continue to contribute to Steampunk Journal. My latest pieces for the Journal are here:
The Brown Lady
The Loch Ness Monster
Lizzie Borden and Ax Throwing
If you were at Teslacon, I’m sure you heard or saw about the special dance and song that debuted. Learn about its origins in an interview with Chad Canfield of VARDO.
